It is unavoidable for them to make errors on English writing. The researches find that negative transfer of Chinese is an important element to affect English writing. We know, Language transfer is always a hot issue in the field of second language acquisition. This study aims to research how does negative transfer of Chinese influence English writing and find ways to avoid negative transfer of Chinese on English writing. The study chooses

30 English major students as research subjects. According to error analysis, the author carries out her study on negative transfer of Chinese on English writings. The instruments used for the study are compositions and questionnaire.

30 research subjects are asked to provide an English composition and answer questionnaire. After analyzing errors of composition samples and answers of questionnaires, the study finds that many students generally translate their Chinese thinking into English literally, and about 43% errors are caused by the negative transfer of Chinese. The negative transfer of Chinese mainly show on the aspects of lexicon, syntax, discourse and thought Patterns. In order to help students avoid the influence of the negative transfer of Chinese, the study suggests teachers to help students cultivate English thinking mode and form the good habit of consulting English-English dictionaries. English writing 摘要 英语学习者学习英语的四大技能中,写作被认为是最复杂的一项,英语写作过程中出现错误是无法避免的.研究发现汉语负迁移是影响英语写作的重要因素.众所周知,语言迁移一直是二语习得研究领域里的一个热门话题.这篇论文主要研究汉语负迁移对英语写作的影响并探寻避免英语写作中汉语负迁移的方法. 这项研究以30名英语专业学生为研究对象.通过错误分析法,作者开展英语写作中的汉语负迁移的研究.这项研究的研究工具是作文样本和调查问卷.研究要求30名研究对象为研究提供作文并做调查问卷.通过对作文样本中的错误和问卷答案进行分析,研究发现许多学生经常把他们的汉语思维进行字面翻译,大约百分之四十三的错误因汉语负迁移所致.汉语负迁移主要表现在词汇,句法,论述和思维模式这些方面.为了帮助学生避免汉语负迁移,这项研究建议老师帮助学生培养英语思维模式并养成查阅英英词典的好习惯. 关键词:负迁移 错误分析 英语写作 1.
