8 LEVEL A2 The objective of teaching in the elementary group (levels A2 to B1) is to attain, at the end of level B1, a command of Chinese which allows the student to use documentation in Chinese and to practise the language in a non-specialised context. Below are the skills to attain at the end of level A2, assuming that the skills of levels A1 have been fully attained. Communication skills Listening comprehension ? Respond to simple questions on the basis of language learned. ? Understand simple dialogues. ? Following a dictation, reproduce sentences in Chinese characters on the basis of language learned. Spoken expression ? Talk about yourself in a precise way: not only your first and last name, nationality, date of birth, but also your age, activities and so on. ?
